Kick off your weekend with a magical experience as Melbourne’s Born in a Taxi brings their mesmerising Illuminated Angels to life! Catch their stunning roving performances on Friday 4 July and Friday 18 July from 6pm-7pm.

Streetlights and Long Nights, a new site-specific immersive audio work presented by Vitalstatistix, captures that quiet, tender intimacy of staying up late in places you weren’t meant to be.
Set under the stars in Port Adelaide, this reflective experience invites audiences to settle into stationary cars parked by the river, headphones on, and minds open. You’ll be guided through a series of audio stories — gentle, raw, and sometimes delightfully meandering — inspired by the kinds of conversations that happen when the world is asleep and the night belongs to you.
The work evokes the strangely universal feeling of lingering in dark corners with someone you trust — maybe it’s the front seat after a spontaneous late-night drive for 2am pancakes, a midnight walk along the beach, or lounging on a swing set in an empty playground, whispering secrets under streetlight glow.
Blending storytelling, ambient sound, and a strong sense of place, Streetlights and Long Nights is part nostalgia, part confessional, and entirely human. It’s about the in-between hours — where time blurs, vulnerability emerges, and connection deepens.
