This August, the Fleurieu Peninsula is set to stir the senses and warm the soul as the much-loved Fleurieu Food Festival returns for its fourth year, promising an unforgettable month-long celebration of flavour, community and country life.

From long lunches under gum trees to hands-on cooking classes and indulgent vineyard feasts, this year’s program features more than 60 unique food and beverage experiences. It’s a chance to discover the region’s rich tapestry of tastes, and meet the passionate growers, makers and chefs who bring every plate to life.

Visitors are encouraged to sip, savour and slow down as they travel through the picturesque peninsula, where paddock-to-plate is more than just a trend – it’s a way of life.

A new highlight for 2025 is a luxurious private dining experience with chef Will Doak of Lost Phoenix Farm, who will prepare a three-course feast at Nest and Nature, an eco-retreat nestled in the heart of the Inman Valley.

Fleurieu Food Festival Board Chair Todd Steel says the festival is a heartfelt showcase of the region’s people and produce.

“We are very excited to be gearing up for another Fleurieu Food Festival. It has quickly become a great success and there is nothing more rewarding to our farmers, producers and operators than to provide local hospitality, tell the tales and share the joy of the season with visitors to our region,” says Todd.

“Our community is ready to uncork something very special. Visitors can immerse themselves in a place where provenance meets indulgence, taste the terroir, enjoy deep cellar pours, and journey into comfort, connection, and culinary discovery.

“Winter is such a great time to visit the Fleurieu Peninsula, the log fires, the fresh winter air, the abundant array of produce and the aromas of artisan feasts cooking throughout the region are simple pleasures to be enjoyed.”

Whether it’s drifting through the stillness of the Coorong, savouring just-caught fish cooked over coals on the beach, or tucking into a seven-course mushroom degustation at Ekhidna Wines, every experience is designed to feed the senses – and the soul.

You might even find yourself learning to stretch mozzarella or roll fresh pasta just like Nonna, with hands-on workshops bringing age-old techniques back to the kitchen table.

Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just keen for a good meal in great company, the Fleurieu Food Festival offers something for every palate – and every pace.

Fleurieu Food Festival is on 1-31 August 2025 across the Fleurieu Peninsula.
