Flying in from London’s West End, where she is currently performing in the 40th anniversary season of Les Misérables, Marina’s return to the Adelaide stage is a standout moment for this much-loved community event.
Her appearance marks a major coup for the Carols program—welcoming one of Australia’s most celebrated voices during the height of her international season.
Affectionately known as Australia’s ‘First Lady of Musical Theatre,’ Marina Prior has graced the stage in more than 30 major roles, including Phantom of the Opera, Cats, The Sound of Music, and of course, Les Misérables. She has released multiple albums, collaborated with every major symphony orchestra in the country, and continues to be one of the most beloved figures in Australian entertainment.
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. And I love the music of Christmas, with voices raised together, and the joy and excitement of the season.
