Adelaide Fringe 2026 | Tracy Crisp: Who Killed Gough Whitlam?
Location
- 13 Mar 26
A kidnapped dog, a tight-knit friendship group and a podcast-style investigation collide in this clever new Fringe mystery from acclaimed storyteller Tracy Crisp. Blending cosy crime with sharp humour and emotional insight, this world-premiere solo show marks the beginning of a brand-new fictional series.
At the centre of the mystery is Gough Whitlam – not the former Prime Minister, but a beloved bichon frisé whose disappearance sets off an unlikely amateur investigation. As clues unravel, so too do secrets, tensions and loyalties within the “Stitch and Bitch” circle, delivering laughs alongside poignant reflections on friendship, grief and middle-aged rage.
Known for her award-winning memoir-style monologues, Crisp shifts into fiction here while retaining her trademark warmth, wit and storytelling flair. Expect a rich emotional journey that moves from melancholy to laugh-out-loud comedy, all wrapped in a playful whodunnit format.
Location: Main Theatre, Goodwood Theatre and Studios, Goodwood
