Adelaide Fringe 2026 | Cathedral Chiaroscuro
- 13 Mar 26
Step inside one of Adelaide’s most iconic landmarks as St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral is transformed by light, sound and projection in this striking immersive Fringe experience. Cathedral Chiaroscuro invites audiences to wander through a breathtaking installation where art and sacred architecture intertwine, revealing the cathedral in a completely new way.
Cutting-edge projection mapping, carefully composed music and dramatic lighting illuminate soaring arches, stained glass and stonework, creating a world of colour, movement and stillness. Rather than a traditional performance, this contemplative experience unfolds in looping sequences, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace and absorb the atmosphere from different vantage points.
Short yet powerful, it offers a moment of calm amid the energy of Fringe season – a visually stunning encounter with history, beauty and technology that resonates across ages.
