Looking to escape the ordinary and immerse yourself in world-class cinema and screen culture?
The Mercury offers a range of screening programs and events, including Silverscreen during the day, Adelaide Cinematheque for movie lovers, and a new program of craft nights called Stitch ’n Screen.
The Mercury’s Silverscreen program is your passport to a curated collection of contemporary gems, international festival favourites, and award-winning films, all in the heart of the city.
Each week, Silverscreen transforms daytime moviegoing into a rich cultural experience.
And here’s the best part: every Tuesday and Friday daytime screening comes with complimentary refreshments. That’s right: an exceptional film and a cuppa, on the house.

During May, The Mercury is screening Sophie Hyde’s beautiful family drama, Jimpa. Join Sophie for an in-person Q&A on Friday 8 May.

Also on the calendar is a special Script Club screening for Blue Moon, the highly entertaining musical drama starring Ethan Hawke.
Silverscreen is free for Mercury subscribers, or you can purchase a ticket at the door: Regular $19, Concession $16, or $12 for Seniors Card holders.

Introducing Stitch ’n Screen to the Mercury, a special screening and craft event.
This is not your typical movie night. The house lights stay gently dimmed so you can comfortably craft while watching a feel-good, familiar film.
Come solo or with friends. There’s a relaxed, social atmosphere and an optional pre-film meet-up for anyone wanting to connect with fellow makers.
Tickets are $24 regular, $22 concession, and include complimentary tea and coffee. Check the website for the next event and book in with friends.
