Illuminate Adelaide 2026

01 - 19 Jul 26

Illuminate Adelaide returns this winter, inviting audiences to rediscover the city through a curated program of light, art, music and immersive experiences from 1–19 July.

Blending large-scale installations with intimate cultural moments, the 2026 program offers a sophisticated mix of free and ticketed events designed for exploration after dark. Wander the expanded City Lights trail through the CBD and into Rymill Park, where more than 50 installations, projections and performances transform familiar streets into something entirely new.

For those seeking a deeper experience, Night Visions returns to the Adelaide Botanic Garden with a reimagined after-dark journey of light, sound and nature, while Digital Abyss at ILA presents a striking, underwater-inspired digital world by acclaimed artist Miguel Chevalier.

Music lovers can explore the boundary-pushing Unsound Adelaide program, alongside Supersonic, a one-night immersive club experience at Hindley Street Music Hall.

Dining also takes centre stage this year, with a refined program of immersive culinary experiences and the return of the Illuminate Hosts initiative, encouraging visitors to explore some of Adelaide’s most celebrated restaurants, bars and venues as part of their evening.

Whether it’s a night out with friends, a cultural date night or a multi-generational outing, Illuminate Adelaide offers a compelling way to experience the city in winter.
