A Night at the Ballet – Adelaide Symphony Orchestra at Festival Theatre
Some of the most powerful orchestral music ever written was created for the dance stage, and this July, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra brings it all to life at Festival Theatre.
A Night at the Ballet is an elegant evening of sweeping melodies, dramatic storytelling and some of the most beloved repertoire in classical music, featuring music from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet, Bernstein’s On the Town and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel — performed live by the ASO and conducted by Jonathan Lo, Music Director of The Australian Ballet.
This is a chance to hear these remarkable scores the way they were meant to be experienced. Please note there will be no ballet performance as part of this concert.
And for the ultimate evening out, the ASO has partnered with Sofitel Adelaide for an exclusive Saturday 25 July package, including canapés, a two-hour drinks package and an intimate pre-concert conversation with Jonathan Lo and ASO Principal Cello Sharon Grigoryan, before a relaxed stroll to the theatre. Package tickets are $200 per person and strictly limited.
Performing at Festival Theatre on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 July 2026, 7:30pm. Adults from $64, children from $30.
