Heilung, the Danish-Norwegian collective known for their extraordinary live rituals, will perform at Adelaide Entertainment Centre’s Theatre in March 2027. For those unfamiliar, prepare for something that transcends the conventional concert experience.
Since emerging in 2015, Heilung have carved out a singular space in the musical world. They describe their work as “amplified history”, drawing upon the sounds, traditions and spiritual practices of early civilisations to create something genuinely otherworldly. Hypnotic percussion, haunting vocals, throat singing and ancient instruments combine with powerful visual ceremony to transport audiences thousands of years into the past.

Music, theatre and ritual
A Heilung performance is not something you simply watch. It is something you experience with all your senses. An ensemble of warriors takes the stage in elaborate costumes, moving through ritualistic sequences while atmospheric soundscapes fill the space. Incense drifts through the air. Ancient instruments that most audiences have never seen, let alone heard, create sounds that feel primal and immediate.
It is theatre, music and ritual, yet it exists beyond all three. The collective has built an international following among those seeking something more profound than standard live music. Their performances feel less like attending a show and more like participating in something sacred and ancient.

Support from Lilith Max
Joining Heilung is German-American singer-songwriter Lilith Max, whose enchanting blend of dark folklore, mythology and fantasy brings ancient tales and imagined worlds to life. Her own spellbinding musical world makes her a fitting companion for Heilung’s extraordinary rituals.
Those who appreciate atmospheric, transportive live experiences will find much to admire here. This is music that demands attention, presence and surrender to something larger than the everyday.
Event advisory: This performance will feature partial nudity, theatrical haze and strobe lighting effects.
