The Norwood Food & Wine Festival will once again bring thousands to The Parade on Sunday 12 April, offering a showcase of South Australia’s finest produce, wines and culinary talent alongside the excitement of AFL Gather Round.
Running from 11am, the free street festival features an impressive lineup of local restaurants, producers and beverage makers. Visitors can sample everything from premium seafood and artisan pasta to flame-cooked meats, paired with wines, craft beers and spirits from across the state.
Live cooking demonstrations from acclaimed chefs Kane Pollard, Laura Sharrad and Duncan Welgemoed will be presented through the Tasting Australia Kitchen, while live music and pop-up DJs create a lively backdrop throughout the day.
For football fans, large outdoor screens will broadcast the Geelong v West Coast match at nearby Norwood Oval, making the festival a natural gathering point before, during or after the game.
Returning traders include celebrated restaurant arkhé, Enoteca, Fair Seafood and a range of boutique producers, all contributing to a street-party atmosphere that celebrates South Australia’s reputation for exceptional food and wine.
With attendance topping 90,000 last year, the festival has become a highlight of the Gather Round calendar and a perfect opportunity to experience the state’s hospitality in one place.
