CelloVoci, a trio blending classical, pop, rock and Broadway influences, will make their Adelaide debut at the iconic Town Hall on Sunday, 5 October, fresh from a sold-out performance at New York’s Carnegie Hall.
The group features acclaimed cello and vocal duo Branden and James (Adelaide native), alongside powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Effie Passero, known to many from American Idol and Postmodern Jukebox. Together, they’ve built a loyal following with performances across the United States, Mexico, and Europe—and now, they’re turning their attention to Australia.

Branden and James have become familiar faces to local audiences over the past decade, while Effie recently graced the stage at the Sydney Opera House during her tour with Postmodern Jukebox.
Their Adelaide concert promises a vibrant mix of music—featuring favourites from Adele, Moulin Rouge, The Eagles, Nina Simone, West Side Story, Andrea Bocelli, and more. The repertoire, born from their first collaboration Happy Days, offers clever, emotional and unexpected musical pairings.
Among the highlights: a bold take on the Judy Garland/Barbra Streisand medley “Happy Days Are Here Again/Get Happy”, a haunting blend of “Bésame Mucho” with “Hotel California”, and a moving medley of Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars” and Amanda McBroom’s “The Rose”.
This isn’t your average classical crossover. As audiences around the world have discovered, CelloVoci brings unmatched artistry, emotional resonance, and imaginative arrangements to the stage. Their debut album, Happy Days, released in October 2024, has only increased their global reach.

James, once the Director of Strings at Adelaide’s Immanuel College, relocated to the U.S. in 2013 after the loss of his sister.
Branden, a former finalist on America’s Got Talent and seasoned opera tenor, is also a published author, with his memoir Lyrics of My Life reaching #9 on Amazon’s new releases. The pair’s previous album Chasing Dreams featured Shoshana Bean, and helped earn them the title of Best Unsigned Artists in North America by Music Connection magazine.
In a recent career highlight, the duo performed for Celine Dion and appeared in her documentary I Am: Celine Dion at New York’s Lincoln Center.
Effie, meanwhile, continues to shine as a genre-spanning vocal talent. With millions of YouTube views and performances across the globe, she’s soon to appear as a special guest of Lionel Richie in Mexico. Her own debut album—produced by country legends—will be released soon.
