Fringe Review: Crème de la Crème

Crème de la Crème hosted by Head First Acrobats is showing at The Vault at Fool's Paradise for the Adelaide Fringe.

Crème de la Crème is an entertaining display of the cream of the crop of Adelaide Fringe acts. The best of the best, a variety show like no other. Performing to a packed in crowd on opening night at The Vault in the brand new festival precinct – Fool’s Paradise at Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga.

From aerial acrobats, physical comedy, magic and more, you get a taste on what’s on offer at Fool’s Paradise and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Hosted by Head First Acrobats, Cal Harris, the night had the audience on the edge of their seats and in fits of laughter.

Notable acts were Laser Kiwi’s Imogen Stone bending and twisting to pour herself wine and lighting candles with her feet, and Shauna Johnson shocking and amazing the audience with her routine while suspended on aerial silks.

And, of course, stand out performance by magician and comedian, Paul Dabek, who had the audience in stitches with his magic trick that featured a paper bag, a $50 bill and a banana.

If you only have time to see one show this Adelaide Fringe season, make sure it is this one. It is equal parts thrilling and hilarious – a Fool’s Paradise degustation.
