Have your presents perfectly packaged for Christmas thanks to Minda

Location

Adelaide Arcade
112/118 Grenfell Street between Grenfell Street &, Rundle Mall, Adelaide SA 5000

04 - 27 Jun 25

Volunteers from Minda are gearing up for another festive season at Adelaide Arcade, perfecting their gift-wrapping skills for the arrival of its pop-up booth, which kicks off on December 1.

Shoppers can visit the pop-up until Christmas Eve and for a small donation (one gift = $4, three gifts = $10) get their presents perfectly packaged. Raised funds will go to supporting and changing the lives of people with an intellectual disability.

Minda Chief Executive Dr David Panter hopes the community will rally behind the cause and demonstrate their commitment to helping others.

“Minda is all about community – the people we support, our staff, volunteers, students, and our neighbours – so we encourage shoppers to stop by, say hello and have a chat to our friendly volunteers, you will be helping to enrich and empower the lives of people with a disability,” he said.

“We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated volunteers who make a real difference in the lives of those we support. We could not achieve what we do without them.”

Minda is also running a Wishing Tree at the INC Café Brighton site where visitors can take a tag from the tree detailing different gifts chosen by Children’s Services clients, purchase the gift, and return it to Minda reception ready to be opened on Christmas morning.

These young people often don’t receive a lot of gifts at Christmas, so the Wishing Tree gives them the chance to get some of the things they wish for.
