Jacob Boehme’s new play travels back to 1940s Adelaide, where an unlikely friendship grows between a young Aboriginal woman and an elderly Afghan cameleer in the backyard of the Adelaide Mosque. Drawn from Boehme’s own family history, this powerful work explores resilience, culture and the quiet revolution of sitting at a table to share food and listen.
