Orchestral Series 3 – Old Worlds and New 2

Adelaide Baroque continues its acclaimed exploration of ancient musical traditions, journeying eastward through the historical soundscapes of Greece, Syria and Persia. This concert weaves music and storytelling to illuminate the artistic exchanges that flourished under Byzantine and Ottoman empires, tracing the paths of travelling musicians and the diasporas shaped by religious persecution.

Period instruments meet contemporary flair as Adelaide Baroque collaborates with guest musicians from Adelaide and Brisbane. New arrangements created for this performance blend historical authenticity with modern rhythms and improvisation, promising a concert that honours the past while feeling vividly alive.
