About the Handspinners and Weavers Guild of South Australia

Members of the Handspinners and Weavers Guild of South Australia have been spinning, weaving and crafting since 1963. They help maintain skills and techniques that have been passed down for generations and encourage the development of new techniques and ideas that make their crafts more relevant to modern lifestyles. They carry on this ancient craft with all kinds of fibre available here in Australia, from different breeds of sheep wool, alpaca, and mohair to silk, dog fibre, and even wombat fur!

We would like to acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the lands and waters of the Adelaide region.
