Unveiling The Macallan – An Exclusive Tasting
The Marion Hotel is hosting an unmissable ‘Unveiling The Macallan’ whisky-tasting night on Thursday, 21 September, with guests treated to exclusive tastings of The Macallan’s prestigious whisky’s.
Taking place in the Marion Hotel’s intimate nook, The Study, guests will be presented with five tastings from The Macallan’s single malt scotch whisky series, exploring the earthy flavours of both European and American oak while nibbling on charcuterie pairings prepared by the Marion’s chefs.
Tastings include the 12-year matured Macallan Triple Cask bottle, crafted from European and American sherry seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon oak casks in a smooth and delicate single malt which bursts with citrus flavours and hints of vanilla. While, their 12-year matured Double Cask is a warm marriage of Macallan’s subtle spice and sweet, fudgy American oak.
The tasting will also include their 12-year-old Jerez de la Frontera sun-seasoned Sherry Oak that is crafted in collaboration with acclaimed artist, Erik Madigan Heck, as well as their 18-year matured 2022 golden Double Cask and their rich mahogany-red Rare Cask.
