AirTouch 500 hits The Bend

The countdown is on for one of the most anticipated events on the motorsport calendar. The AirTouch 500 roars into Shell V-Power Motorsport Park from 12–14 September 2025, kicking off the return of the Supercars Enduro Cup with a world-first line-up where high-octane racing meets full-throttle festival energy.

For the first time ever, the FIA Kumho TCR World Tour and Repco Supercars Championship will share the same event program, creating a global-first double billing set to make history right here in South Australia.

Sunday’s 500km Supercars endurance race will see 27 cars and 54 drivers—each paired with a co-driver—battle it out over 100 laps of The Bend’s internationally renowned 4.95km circuit. As the opening round of the Supercars Enduro Cup and the lead-in to the legendary Bathurst 1000, it’s where strategy meets speed and reputations are made or broken.

Two cars race down a track while spectators watch from the sidelines, capturing the excitement of the event.

Alistair MacDonald, CEO of Shell V-Power Motorsport Park, says this is the race that sets the tone for Bathurst.

“The endurance format, the pressure, the pairing of co-drivers—it’s where the stakes really start to climb, and with the TCR World Tour here as well, you’ve got factory-backed international teams competing on Australian soil. It’s a motorsport dream ticket,” he says.

Three days of racing kick off on Friday with extended Supercars practice and qualifying, full-field TCR races, and top-tier support categories including the Porsche Carrera Cup, Touring Car Masters, Trico Trans Am Series, and Battery World Aussie Racing Cars.

But the action isn’t just on the track. The precinct comes alive with family-friendly entertainment from dawn to dusk. Fans can enjoy Paul Bennet’s Aerial Stunt Shows, STEMzone, The Bend Kartdrome, Auto Alley, live music all day and night, and Friday and Saturday nights feature the POWRi ‘Micros on the Murray’ dirt-track spectacular at the Dragway Live Action Arena, showcasing 70+ microsprints. Saturday also sees the only South Australian performance of the ‘Sing It Live’ concert at Podium Park, followed by a headline DJ.

For those who want the ultimate motorsport experience, trackside camping offers a front-row seat to all the action—and it’s almost sold out.

The Bend is the only Supercars venue outside Bathurst to offer true trackside camping, with nearly 3,000 campers rolling out swags beside the track. Only around 70 of the 650 sites remain across the precinct.

Alistair adds that luxury accommodation at Rydges Pit Lane and BIG4 The Bend Holiday Park has already sold out.

“There’s nothing like waking up to the roar of Supercars—camping here gives fans a front-row seat for the entire weekend. It’s a totally immersive experience into the sport, and I expect that the last few camping sites will be snapped up,” Alistair said.

Camping sites include hot showers, free shuttles, and easy access to food vendors and entertainment. Each site accommodates up to six people, making it one of the most affordable ways to enjoy everything on offer.

A General Admission ticket grants access to one of the world’s most celebrated race tracks, including paddock zones, infield roaming, and grandstand views at Turns 17 and 18—all offering incredible trackside experiences, entertainment, and hospitality. Day passes start at just $35, and kids under 15 enter free, with parking included.

Whether you’re chasing endurance racing, cheering on the TCR World Tour, or simply looking for a fun family-friendly weekend, the AirTouch 500 delivers on every level.

The AirTouch 500 at The Bend is proudly presented by AirTouch and event partners OTR and the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC).
