Adelaide comes alive over the March long weekend, 6–9 March 2026, as WOMADelaide returns to Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla for four unforgettable days. One of Australia’s most celebrated festivals, WOMADelaide brings together over 600 artists from 38 countries, showcasing the very best in music, dance, visual arts and conversation.
There’s something magical about the way the festival transforms the Adelaide parklands. The familiar greenery becomes a hub of international culture, where familiar favourite artists share the stage with new discoveries from around the globe. From world music and jazz to contemporary beats, each performance offers a chance to be amazed and inspired.
Saturday night headliner Grace Jones brings her unforgettable presence to the main stage — a performance many festival‑goers circle on their calendar. Her set promises drama, energy and showmanship that only she can deliver.

Elsewhere across the weekend, the program features a stellar array of international and Australian acts. Arrested Development bring their uplifting rhythms and positive vibes, Oumou Sangaré’s voice carries the traditions of her homeland into a global spotlight, Jovanotti offers genre‑blending energy, and Yothu Yindi showcase their iconic fusion of Yolngu and contemporary sounds. Each artist adds to WOMADelaide’s spirit of exploration and connection.

Beyond the stages, The Planet Talks invites audiences to deep‑dive into issues like sustainability, climate action and our relationship with the natural world, with sessions featuring respected journalists, scientists and advocates. Wander among interactive art installations, savour global flavours from food stalls, or join in workshops and dance sessions — every corner of the park offers something to discover.

And then there’s the magical sunset. Watching it paint the sky above the main stage and across the park adds a moment of awe to every festival day. It’s an atmosphere that draws you in, captivates, and makes WOMADelaide feel utterly unbeatable.
Set beneath the trees in the heart of Adelaide, WOMADelaide is more than a festival – it’s a celebration of creativity, culture and community, leaving memories that last long after the final notes have played.
