Adelaide Fringe is calling on South Australians to transform their spaces into stages, with venue registrations now open for the 2027 festival. Whether you run a pub, a gallery, a community hall, a rooftop bar or a winery, registration is free and the festival wants to hear from you.
As an open-access festival, Adelaide Fringe allows anyone with a venue to register, curate their own program and connect directly with artists through the Fringe registration platform. There are no gatekeepers here. If you have a space and an audience, you can build a lineup that works for your location and community.

In 2026, 562 venues registered with Adelaide Fringe, with more than 8,000 artists performing across more than 500 venues throughout South Australia. For venues, participation means reaching new audiences, increasing exposure and creating revenue opportunities while supporting artists.
“Adelaide Fringe is built by artists, venues and communities across South Australia, and every year it’s the variety of spaces that helps make the program what it is,” said Jo O’Callaghan, Adelaide Fringe Executive Director, Programs and Development.
“A Fringe venue doesn’t need to be a traditional arts space. It can be a garden, a pub, a hall, a rooftop, a winery or somewhere audiences wouldn’t normally expect. Registration is free, and we want venues of every size and from across the whole state to participate.”

A new registration experience
This year brings a redesigned version of AVR, Adelaide Fringe’s Artist and Venue Registration platform. The updated system offers a smoother, more intuitive registration experience with a fresh interface.
Existing venues that already host live performances can register eligible shows they are presenting during the festival period and connect them to their venue through the system.
Adelaide Fringe 2027 runs from 19 February to 21 March 2027.
