This spring, Adelaide locals and visitors alike will once again be heading riverside as the much-loved Lucky Dumpling Market makes its highly anticipated return to Elder Park from Friday 17 October to Sunday 9 November.
Now in its ninth season, the popular Asian-inspired food market will take over the riverbank for three and a half flavour-filled weeks, offering delicious street food, lively music and entertainment, and a welcoming festival atmosphere right in the heart of the city.

Whether you’re after an early evening dinner with friends, a bite before a show at the OzAsia Festival, or a relaxing weekend meal with the grandkids, the Lucky Dumpling Market offers something for everyone.
With more than 25 favourite vendors returning and a fresh new line-up of foodies joining the fold, expect everything from steaming dumplings and bao buns to aromatic satays, curries, and colourful desserts. Local wine, beer, and cocktail bars will also be on hand, making it a perfect spot for a springtime tipple.
Lucky Dumpling Market is timed perfectly to herald the arrival of warmer, finer weather, and there’s nothing better than marking this transition with a yuzu spritz in hand and a plate of fresh dumplings by the river.
What’s new on the menu?

This year’s Lucky Dumpling Market is shining a light on the latest Asian food trends making waves across Adelaide’s dining scene — from fusion flavours to fun bites on a stick.
- Please Send Noods debuts with an unexpected Italian–Asian fusion noodle menu – a creative collaboration between Shibui and Ong Noi.
- Xeo Xeo joins the line-up with sizzling Vietnamese pancakes.
- Just Sticks lives up to its name, serving everything from fried squid to bubble waffles – all on a stick.
- Phat Head Dumpling brings back its fan-favourites — including grilled chicken noodles and pure prawn dumplings, along with a new mocha milk tea exclusive to this year’s market.
- Shmochi by Shibui offers a sweet selection of mochi doughnuts, pandan churros and Thai milk tea soft serve.
- Toly returns with Banh Mi skewers and fried pork dumpling skewers, proving food-on-a-stick is this season’s trend to watch.
Of course, classic comfort dishes like pork dumplings and cult desserts will remain a central part of the offering, providing a balance of the new and the nostalgic — ideal for food lovers keen to explore or simply indulge in their favourites.
