This festive season, Adelaide Chamber Singers (ACS), one of Australia’s leading choral groups, will showcase their Rising Voices in a concert of festive choral music at St Peter’s Cathedral on Sunday, 15 December at 2pm.
The special performance titled Resound! features Rising Voices, the next generation of Adelaide Chamber Singers, who will be conducted by ACS Artistic Director Christie Anderson. The group will be joined by core members of the ensemble and Cathedral Organist David Heah.
The concert will feature uplifting music from around the world, creating an atmosphere of celebration and reflection. Resound! will include Bob Chilcott’s Advent Antiphons, Poulenc’s Four Christmas Motets—mysterious, beautiful, and inspiring—and stunning renditions of popular carols by Sarah Quartel, Elizabeth Poston, Joe Twist, and ACS’ own Rachel Bruerville, with her Australian carol Mistletoebird.
Audiences will also have the opportunity to join in with the choir, singing well-loved carols accompanied by organ and descants.
