Madame Hanoi makes a splash with Seafood Street Festival

From 22 August to 30 September, Madame Hanoi will celebrate Seafood Street Festival, a mouth-watering dedication to the finest water-sourced ingredients.

Along with the beloved regular menu, indulge in an exclusive selection of seafood dishes Tuesday to Saturday as part of Madam Hanoi’s Seafood Street Festival.

Steering the Madame Hanoi crew through delectable depths is new Head Chef, Sean Thomas, who brings a passion for punchy flavours and a particular love for seafood. Having spent years immersing himself in South-East Asian street-food culture before arriving in Adelaide, Sean sees Madame Hanoi as the perfect place for everyone to explore new and interesting cuisine.

Sean says,“It’s a fast paced and vibrant venue, with the food to match. The kitchen is small, and the flavours are bold. Customers come to have a fun experience and with an open kitchen you can’t miss a beat.”

“For the festival, I’m sourcing as much local seafood as I can and matching it with strong Asian flavours. The trick is not over-powering the beautiful produce so that the seafood is the hero of the dish.”

A special Seafood Street Festival menu will sit alongside Madame Hanoi’s regular menu until the end of September, where bold flavours are to be expected and social dining is encouraged. On the limited-time menu are mouth-watering options including Oyster shooters with sake and salmon roe, grilled octopus skewers with turmeric caramel sauce, king prawns with Vietnamese chilli sate sauce, and the showstopping whole squid with Kampot pepper and lemongrass butter.

Every Wednesday night, bring your friends to share in the spectacular Seafood Boil. Get your hands dirty with a pot-boil of king prawns, blue swimmer crab, clams, mussels, sweetcorn and potato. Enjoy with the included selection of condiments or upgrade to add Bao buns and rice or a half-lobster to the feast.

Prefer a vertical tasting experience? Thursday nights see the return of the famous Seafood Tower where every taste, texture and sensation are accounted for. Enjoy three luxurious tiers of seafood samplers spanning fresh, grilled, fried seafood, plus beer-steamed mussels.

Madame Hanoi is the multi-award-winning French-Vietnamese restaurant and cocktail bar at SkyCity Adelaide, sharing the story of French influence on Vietnamese cuisine through bold flavours and an electrifying energy.

Embrace Hanoi’s diverse culinary history and tradition of sharing with a selection of fresh, bold and colourful dishes.
