Save the date: Global Wellness Day

Australians are being invited to pause, breathe and reconnect, as the country joins the Global Wellness Day movement in full for the first time.

Presented by Well Traveller, the day of wellness is on Saturday, 14 June, with a thoughtfully curated program of free wellness experiences offered in both metropolitan centres and scenic regional areas.

Recognised in more than 170 countries, Global Wellness Day is a not-for-profit initiative with a powerful mission: to inspire people to live well, grounded in the belief that one day can change your whole life.

This year’s theme, ‘Reconnect’, feels especially relevant. It encourages Australians to reflect on their relationship with self, nature, family, community and culture—an invitation to return to what truly matters.

From yoga in the park and sound healing, to bushwalks, breathwork, and family-friendly activities, the national program includes a rich selection of free events designed to support physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Locations span the country, with events taking place in capital cities as well as wellness-focused destinations such as South Australia’s very own Adelaide Hills.

Katherine Droga, founder of Well Traveller, has been named as Australia’s official Global Wellness Day Ambassador. She believes strongly in the event’s accessible approach to wellbeing.

“It’s about simple, accessible moments that help us feel better in our bodies and calmer in our minds. And when we prioritise our own wellbeing, that has a ripple effect – especially for our kids, our families and our communities,” she says.

This year’s celebration also marks the official launch of Well Traveller’s new What’s On Wellness Calendar—a curated, searchable guide to wellbeing experiences across Australia, filtered by destination, feel-state and experience type. It aims to help Australians of all ages find their “well place” with ease.
