Joel began his career in Hyde Park, learning from one of Adelaide’s most respected jewellers. He went
on to work on some of Australia’s highest-value and most finely crafted jewellery pieces during his time in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Now, alongside his wife Nathalie, Joel has opened Nicholls Fine Jewellery, a boutique, family-run workshop in the heart of North Adelaide.
A traditionally trained bench jeweller since 2004, Joel brings a hands-on approach to every piece, combining classic handmade techniques with current technologies to ensure precision and beauty.
All jewellery is manufactured onsite, and the studio offers a full range of services, including repairs, heirloom remodelling, custom design, and general maintenance. With an international network built over years in the industry, Joel can also source high-quality gemstones and vintage or pre-owned pieces. Nicholls Fine Jewellery buys and sells previously owned jewellery from the public and offers free jewellery cleaning as part of its commitment to long-term client care.
Whether you’re restoring a sentimental favourite or creating something entirely new, Joel takes pride in offering genuine, expert advice. He also acts as a Jewellery Asset Consultant, helping clients maintain, remodel, or understand the value of their existing pieces.
