Adelady’s Christmas Village to bring cheer to Victoria Square

Victoria Square will be home to 120 local SA businesses as it transforms into a fun-filled festive wonderland this December with the Adeady Christmas Village proudly supported by the City of Adelaide.

Adelaide, mark your calendars for December 15 and 16, as Victoria Square is set to become the home of the festive spirit at Adelady’s first-ever Adelady Christmas Village, proudly supported by the City of Adelaide.

From 4 – 10 PM, the square will come alive with a magical celebration of Christmas joy, featuring free family fun, live entertainment, local food and drinks, a curated SA bar area, Father Christmas and a plethora of SA market stalls.

Hayley Pearson, co-owner of Adelady says, “Last year’s Christmas market alongside Gathered attracted over 13,000 attendees, bringing the South Australian community from far and wide into the heart of the city — and we can’t wait to make this year bigger and better than ever!”

With over 120 local businesses sharing their products all in the one spot, the Adelady Christmas Village will offer a wonderful shopping experience, showcasing everything South Australia has to offer. From handcrafted treasures, fashion, homewares, art, and pantry goods, there’s something for everyone. And for those who have it all, why not shop in the SA voucher area and buy a unique South Australian experience for your loved ones!

Eat and drink from over 20 savory, sweet and drink vendors, from Stazi and Co, Doughballs Pizza, Cheeky Grin Coffee, Wangolina, Lady Burra Brewhouse and so many more there’s a taste for everyone.

Once you have shopped until you’ve dropped, enjoy a lineup of free live entertainment including Scotch College’s live student choir, The 60 Four and DJ Tommy Tequila who will each be bringing the festive joy through music and performance.

Lauren De Cesare says, “I was a Scotch College student myself, so I’m so proud to invite their students to bring the Christmas spirit, and you just wait and see what the four piece 60’s-style band from The 60 Four has in store for you.”

For the first time ever, thanks to Beyond Early Learning the Adelady Christmas Village will have a free Kids’ Zone. This special area will captivate the younger attendees with free festive activities, including a meet-and-greet with Father Christmas, free glitter and face painting, a ‘write your letter to Santa station,’ and a 360° spinning photobooth.

For those with a palate for gourmet delights, don’t miss the Brand SA Providore area — a carefully curated collection of 18 South Australian vendors offering gourmet food, wine, spirits, beverages, and health and beauty products. It’s the perfect place to build your very own Christmas hamper, then have it professionally wrapped with proceeds donated to The Hospital Research Foundation Group.

With anticipation building for a record turnout, the Adelady Christmas Village proudly supported by the City of Adelaide, promises to be a spectacular experience for all.
