The $100 million investment by Living Choice will see a range of architecturally designed two and three bedroom homes and a state-of-the-art premium Country Club which is expected to include a gymnasium, cinema, indoor pool, and outdoor BBQ and activity areas, as well as secure caravan and motorhome storage.
The Newbridge land acquired by Living Choice, is approximately 22.3 hectares with civil works anticipated to commence in early 2024.
Newbridge is a master-planned residential community in the geographical heart of Murray Bridge, where every detail has been carefully considered to create a connected community. Dubbed as the new green heart of Murray Bridge, this growing community sits next to the town’s golf course and showcases two brand-new golf fairways that weave through the centre of the neighbourhood, alongside the entry reserves to create a magnificent green centrepiece for all to enjoy.
Living Choice is well-known for delivering premium retirement villages across Australia and has recently introduced ‘Over 50s Lifestyle Resorts’ to their offering. The company has considerable experience in seniors’ living, owning 12 premium retirement villages in three states, as well as their first Over 50s Lifestyle Resort, Living Choice Mount Barker, currently under construction.
Burke Urban Managing Director, Kym Burke, said “We are excited to welcome Living Choice to Newbridge and are confident they will deliver the high-quality standard of community-focused living that we intend to establish. We believe this will be a well-regarded addition to Newbridge and the broader Murray Bridge community”.
Kym further explained that they will continue to deliver new land allotments at Newbridge until all stages in the northern sector are sold, over the next 12-18 months.
“Burke Urban are committed to Newbridge and will deliver on our promises in relation to construction and landscaping and will honour our commitments to design management until the last home in this sector is built. We will also continue to activate the community over the next 12 – 18 months to help facilitate a proud and connected community”.
Murray Bridge has experienced unprecedented growth in recent years and is well on its way to becoming one of the largest regional areas in South Australia. The Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) named the town in the top three rising regional property markets and Canstar named Murray Bridge as one of the best five regional towns to invest in. Currently, there are close to $1 billion of projects completed or in the works, ensuring there are jobs and opportunities in abundance.
The owners of Living Choice, Ian Tregoning and Graham Hobbs, are well known in the region for their redevelopment of the $60 million award-winning Bridgeport Hotel. This Over 50s Lifestyle Resort is expected to inject another $100 million of investment into the town, providing more jobs and opportunities in the region.
“There has been huge growth in these affordable communities over the past five years and as our name – Living Choice – implies, we want to ensure people have a wide choice of homes, prices and financial models to choose from. Murray Bridge is a fast-growing town and we expect to attract Over 50s looking for a low-maintenance lifestyle change,” said Ian.
Newbridge has recently unveiled the first 9 allotments in Stage 5 of the Fairway Release. Stage 5 consists of 29 allotments in total ranging from 380 – 1000m2.
The final 10 golf course allotments will be available in Spring, followed by Stage 6 which will be Newbridge’s final land release, anticipated to be offered to the market in 2024.
To date, over 90 allotments at Newbridge have been sold, with approximately 30 homes either under construction or complete.
“Newbridge is committed to the wellbeing of its residents, and this dedicated Over 50s Lifestyle Resort is the perfect future opportunity for those looking for a low-maintenance active lifestyle,” concluded Kym Burke.
