Class A Jewellers celebrates golden jubilee

The well-loved Adelaide jeweller, Class A Jewellers, celebrates fifty years in business this Feburary.

From opening its doors 51 years ago on 14th February 1972, Class A Jewellers has established itself as one of Adelaide’s leading luxury jewellers. The well-loved local business has seen loyal customers stick by their side through the decades, something the jeweller has considered for its latest milestone.

Class A Jewellers will celebrate The Golden Jubilee with a cocktail party at their Walkerville location on Friday, 10th February among staff as well as reminiscing with customers about what has been, and looking forward to what is next.

Frank Hayter first opened Class A Jewellers on 14th February, 1972, with long-time employee, Brad Mucklow, purchasing the business in 1999. Brad had learnt the ins and outs of the jewellery industry from 15 years of service to Class A, having joined the company fresh out of high school, and built on the success to make Class A Jewellers the reputable household name it is today.

Brad’s sons, Sam, Ben and Josh, are now learning the trade and are part of a core team providing jewellery Australia-wide for varied reasons. From stunning diamond engagement rings to bespoke jewellery pieces crafted for a special occasion, Class A Jewellers has the expertise to service all clientele.

Class A Jewellers has always been at the forefront of cutting edge technology during its 50 years, whilst still employing the age old skills and techniques of traditional jewellery making.

More recently, it has seen a shift in showing behind the scenes work with a renovation allowing the workshop to be viewed by customers.

Class A Jewellers will continue to invest in technology, be stringent with quality and compete in a world market for exceptional quality pieces at affordable prices.
