Estia Health plans $42m aged care facility in Findon

Estia Health, a significant player in Adelaide's aged care sector, has unveiled plans for a substantial $42 million aged care facility in Findon.

This two-storey facility is aimed at meeting the growing demand for aged care services in the area. It’s not just about providing accommodation; it’s about creating a practical and functional space for seniors to live comfortably.

The facility will include amenities such as a café and healthcare services, strategically located for easy access by residents. With 124 beds available, including rooms designed for couples, Estia Health aims to accommodate various living arrangements.

The ground floor will offer spaces for socialising, gardening, and relaxation. Eight separate dwellings will have their own lounge area and outdoor space, catering to residents’ preferences for solitude or communal activities.

Nature will be incorporated into the design with landscaped courtyards and gardens. These outdoor areas will provide opportunities for residents to connect with nature and enjoy some fresh air.

The proposed facility will be the 20th aged care home in South Australia for Estia Health, addressing the need for purpose-built accommodation in the local community.

Staff will be available 24/7 to provide support to residents, including those with specific needs such as memory support. Visiting hours will be limited to ensure residents’ privacy and security.

Plans also include the preservation of a mature Hill’s Weeping Fig tree on the site, respecting the community’s wishes and heritage.

Estia Health’s expansion reflects the growing demand for aged care services in South Australia, providing seniors with a comfortable and supportive environment to call home.
