Throughout the month of August, the world is your oyster as the Sean’s Kitchen team serve one of Australia’s favourite shellfish in a variety of different ways.
From natural with a squeeze of lemon to something a little more adventurous, there’s something to satisfy all oyster fanatics. Head chef, Kel Delaney, is keeping things fresh with the variety of oysters and the exclusive dishes prepared with them.
“This year we’ve got a showcase of five different South Australian oysters, every one of them world-class. They’re perfect to enjoy natural, or in a new setting like the brioche bun with smoky bacon, Kilpatrick dressing and crispy fried oyster,” says Kel.
Feeling shellfish? Go all out with an oyster lover’s package available every Tuesday and Wednesday evening; two dozen oysters and a glass of Billecart-Salmon Champagne or an exclusive Oyster Festival cocktail for $75. Oysters are also available to order individually, with your selection of varieties and toppings.
Jimmy Parham, Signature Outlets Manager at SkyCity Adelaide, says this is the best time to enjoy these South Australian delicacies.
Jimmy said: “Oysters are in season now and spectacular, beautiful accompanied by a glass of Manzanilla Sherry or a chilled glass of Billecart-Salmon Champagne – a pure taste of the Southern Ocean in winter.”
For a new take, try an oyster shooter with bacon and lime in a tequila-bloody mary mix. A limited-time Oyster Festival menu is available alongside the usual a la carte menu, including tempura oysters with sriracha tartare, oyster pasta caramelle, and smoked oyster potato bread with rich confit garlic and lemon butter.
These special dishes in addition to the famous Sean’s Kitchen menu, showcasing the very best of South Australian steak, seafood, and produce. This award-winning eatery presents mouth-watering dishes in a contemporary setting.
